Composer and inventor Sami Elu has created a “piano” made out of chopsticks. He plucks piano wires and uses chopsticks like piano keys. Elu has been building versions of his invention for quite a while and he plans to keep improving it. This isn’t the first version the chopsticks piano, but it’s definitely the most complicated.

Elu lives in Tokyo and he’s known for creating instruments out of recycled material. Not only does he create the instruments, he also composes the pieces he plays!

Watch as he dexterously plays by hitting the keys, picking the wires, and using his feet for the percussion — all at the same time. The result is captivating.
